Belcourt + Colonialism Skateboards is a collaboration which brings Christi’s art to the art of skateboards.

As a company, Colonialism Skateboards is a triple threat. It’s about skateboarding. It’s about art. And it’s about creating discussions about the detrimental impacts of colonialism as well as celebrating Indigenous resilience and resistance.

Colonialism Skateboards is owned and operated by artist and skateboarder Michael Langan (Cote First Nation, Treaty 4 Territory). He frequently collaborates with other artists for the creation of boards. As he says, he is “committed to educating people through creative renderings of our colonial past.”

Christi’s designs are a celebration of beauty and resilience, where she has chosen to feature “our continued unbroken connection to the natural world, Indigenous knowledge, and our traditional artwork. My designs are a celebration of the strength and resiliency that Indigenous people continue to have in the face of continued oppression and dispossession from our lands.”

 NOTE ON AVAILABLE COLOURS: 

Due to a bizarre printing error from the suppliers, we were given an assortment of skateboards with mismatched colours on the top and bottom and most were printed without words on the top. They are still cool though! Therefore we are only able to guarantee the front image colour. This is the last of our stock, once they are gone they're gone!
